This is episode 5 part 2 in the series Hello Kitty's Furry Tale Theater.
Plot line[]
The story begins on a jungle beach where a tiny, orphaned penguin washed ashore from the sea. Named Tar-Sam, he was raised by the kind apes of the jungle. Despite his best efforts, Tar-Sam struggled to fit in with his ape family.
As Tar-Sam grew older, he became the brave protector of the jungle, always ready to help his friends. For instance, he once rescued Bunnita from a dangerous swarm of hungry alligators. While Tar-Sam grew into a courageous and confident penguin, some things never changed, like his tendency to accidentally crash into a tree.
One day, Tar-Sam and his friend, Chiptar, decided to go to Bunnita's to grab a snack to eat. As they swung through the jungle, Tar-Sam boasted that he was getting the hang of swinging. However, he spoke too soon, and he accidentally crashed into another tree.
At the dock, a paddle wheel steamship docks and two hunters, Catnip and Grinder, drive off the boat and onto the ground in their truck. They come across a map and Catnip asks a parrot directions to the ape village. Grinder was about to say that they want to catch apes, but Catnip makes him correct himself by saying "mapes." The parrot guides them where to go and they head off. Catnip scolds Grinder because he shouldn't tell anyone that they're catching apes for the carnival, otherwise they'd be sent up the river. Grinder tells Catnip that they just were up the river, making her look silly. Way behind them, Kitty-Jane was dragging her suitcase as the parrot sees her, thinking if she wants directions. She indeed wants directions, and it's how to find Tar-Sam of the Jungle.
At the ape village, the apes were playing games and handing out treats. But their fun got interrupted when hunters Catnip and Grinder drive through the bushes and managed to capture Tar-Sam and Chiptar's Uncle Bud and Aunt Agnes.
